Last chance to enter the South Coast Surf Carnival Kayak Fishing Competition. Entries close on the 1st so please make sure it is in and paid by the 1st. Here is a report I got about fishing up Scottburgh side. "Looking forward to the comp, as there is some fish around the Scottburgh/Umkomaas area. I caught a 21kg Ignobilis this morning, before work, on drop shot and the spearo's have been shooting Sailfish on the shoal and the jetski's have been getting Yellowfin Tuna too." - Muir Robertson To add to the prizes Clyde from gummy baits has committed R2500 worth of Gummy Baits and Keith Hockley has given us R2000 worth of Chromerite shelving vouchers!! South Coast Surf Carnival Kayak Competition

Kayak fishing has just got bigger and better teaming up with the South Coast Surf Carnival (SCSC) a first for kayak fishing and access to huge future publicity and recognition of our sport.  My aim this year has been to lift the prominence of our sport attracting new sponsors and making every competition an event where prizes can be won by everyone. Pinnacle has come to the party again giving me a 3rd ski this year for our benefit!! So again huge thanks to Cliff and Claire who have given us endless support this year!!  This comp is the final comp for the top 20 points and the difficulty is 1.5. The Ski is going to be distributed a bit differently this year the top 5 anglers will draw for the Ski!! So your Chances are high to get the main prize. In the goodie bags you will find a high quality Jeep T-Shirt alongside other juicy bits. The comp is defiantly a family affair so be sure to bring your girlfriends, children and wives to enjoy the festivities. Rules Biggest Game Fish weighed in (only one fish allowed) Min weight 2kg's All competitors can launch anywhere but must beach at Scottsburgh main Beach (the exact location will be announced at the Friday briefing (venue and time to be confirmed) Entries must be in by the 1st of November otherwise no Goodie bag will be provided. Dates: 7th or 8th November (best weather will determine - announced at briefing) Cost R 200 Times 1st light - 2pm Weigh in will start at 10am for the early beachers Prize giving will start at 3:30 sharp.
